If you have been following the Mediterranean tech scene, you know that Alicante is rapidly transforming into Spain’s next major innovation corridor. Driven by 320 days of annual sunshine, a lower cost of living than Madrid or Barcelona, and favorable tax incentives like the Beckham Law and Digital Nomad Visa, the Costa Blanca has attracted a wave of world-class engineering and entrepreneurial talent. At the center of this grassroots movement is Alicante Tech Vibes—an independent, vibrant ecosystem connecting local builders, international founders, and digital nomads.
Founded by Miguel Rovira, Alicante Tech Vibes is a free, volunteer-led community designed to empower entrepreneurs, software engineers, designers, and remote professionals along the Costa Blanca. What started as informal local meetups has rapidly scaled into a thriving network of over 1,000 active members across WhatsApp and Meetup. The community serves as a bridge for three distinct groups: founders pitching early-stage SaaS and AI startups, engineers shipping real code, and digital nomads seeking a soft landing in Spain. From informal afternoon gatherings on the marina terrace to dedicated startup demo nights and custom AI tooling, Alicante Tech Vibes proves that you do not need to be in Silicon Valley to build world-class software.
Bringing AI-First Development to the Mediterranean

As a major milestone in its growth, Alicante Tech Vibes has officially become a Cursor Ambassador community. To celebrate, the group is hosting Café Cursor Alicante: Café Cursor #1 on Saturday, September 5, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Beet Vegetariano in central Alicante.
Cursor, the AI-first code editor built as a fork of VS Code, has quickly become an essential tool for modern developers by deeply integrating large language models directly into the coding workflow. This upcoming event is designed specifically to help local founders, first-time entrepreneurs, and developers harness AI to ship software faster.
Unlike traditional corporate technology conferences, Café Cursor #1 intentionally drops long speeches, slides, and formal presentations in favor of a fast-paced, hands-on co-building environment. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops and work directly on their ongoing projects—whether that is a SaaS side hustle, client work, or an AI tool. For developers who are new to AI-assisted coding, experienced community members will provide live, on-demand demos to help them get up and running within minutes. The gathering finishes with an open show-and-tell session where builders can showcase what they built in under two hours, followed by a seafront lunch along the Alicante coast.
The event is limited to 28 participants, so request your seat now through https://www.nomadstreet.com/atv1 or contact Alicante Tech Vibes through their website https://alicantetechvibes.com/.
